Mouth to Mouth
Rabbi Yehudah ben Shomeyr
Exd. 33:11a "And the LORD spake unto
Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend."
The Phrase "face to face" in the Hebrew is more
accurately translated, "mouth to mouth." The Scriptures are the very words of YHWH
Elohim Himself.
When we read His Word He is speaking to us
face to face, or mouth to mouth. When we pray to Him it is we who are speaking
to Him face to face, or mouth to mouth.
Couples who are in love and close to one
another kiss each other opened mouth. And so when we engage in reading
Scripture and Prayer it is as if we are being intimate with the GOD of the
Universe.
Gen. 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of
the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a
living soul.
When we read His Word He is speaking to us
face to face, or mouth to mouth. When we pray to Him it is we who are speaking
to Him face to face, or mouth to mouth.
When one is in distress and cannot breathe
on ones own, another will give what is called "mouth to mouth resuscitation.”
Therefore when we read His Word, the GOD of the Universe is giving us spiritual
"mouth to mouth resuscitation.”
