DAY 50 OF THE OMER. PENTECOST!

“Today is fifty days of the Omer which is Shavuot.”

The theme is the culmination of all His Attributes of: Chesed, Gevurah, Tiferit, Netzach, Hod, Yesod, and Malchut, Loving-kindness, Strength, Beauty, Victory, Glory, Intimacy and Majesty.

I will allow the text to speak for themselves as we celebrate the giving of the Torah and the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit).

Psalm 105

1O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.
2Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works.
3Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.
4Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore.
 5Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;
6O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his chosen.

Lev. 23: 9-22 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest: And he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the sabbath the priest shall wave it. And ye shall offer that day when ye wave the sheaf an he lamb without blemish of the first year for a burnt offering unto the LORD. And the meat offering thereof shall be two tenth deals of fine flour mingled with oil, an offering made by fire unto the LORD for a sweet savour: and the drink offering thereof shall be of wine, the fourth part of an hin. And ye shall eat neither bread, nor parched corn, nor green ears, until the selfsame day that ye have brought an offering unto your God: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings. And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete: Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the LORD. Ye shall bring out of your habitations two wave loaves of two tenth deals; they shall be of fine flour; they shall be baken with leaven; they are the firstfruits unto the LORD. And ye shall offer with the bread seven lambs without blemish of the first year, and one young bullock, and two rams: they shall be for a burnt offering unto the LORD, with their meat offering, and their drink offerings, even an offering made by fire, of sweet savour unto the LORD. Then ye shall sacrifice one kid of the goats for a sin offering, and two lambs of the first year for a sacrifice of peace offerings. And the priest shall wave them with the bread of the firstfruits for a wave offering before the LORD, with the two lambs: they shall be holy to the LORD for the priest. And ye shall proclaim on the selfsame day, that it may be an holy convocation unto you: ye shall do no servile work therein: it shall be a statute for ever in all your dwellings throughout your generations. And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not make clean riddance of the corners of thy field when thou reapest, neither shalt thou gather any gleaning of thy harvest: thou shalt leave them unto the poor, and to the stranger: I am the LORD your God.

Numbers 28:26-30 Also in the day of the firstfruits, when ye bring a new meat offering unto the LORD, after your weeks be out, ye shall have an holy convocation; ye shall do no servile work: But ye shall offer the burnt offering for a sweet savour unto the LORD; two young bullocks, one ram, seven lambs of the first year; And their meat offering of flour mingled with oil, three tenth deals unto one bullock, to tenth deals unto one ram, A several tenth deal unto one lamb, throughout the seven lambs; And one kid of the goats, to make an atonement for you. Ye shall offer them beside the continual burnt offering, and his meat offering, (they shall be unto you without blemish) and their drink offerings.

Acts 2

1And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
2And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
3And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
4And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
5And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.
6Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.
7And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans?
8And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?
9Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia,
10Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes,
11Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.
12And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this?
13Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine.
14But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:
15For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.
 16But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;
17And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
18And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:
19And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:
20The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and notable day of the Lord come:
21And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
22Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:
23Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:
24Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.
25For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved:
26Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope:
27Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
28Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.
29Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.
 30Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;
31He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.
32This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.
33Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.
34For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,
35Until I make thy foes thy footstool.
36Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made the same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.
37Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
38Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
39For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the LORD our God shall call.
40And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.
41Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
42And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
43And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.
 44And all that believed were together, and had all things common;
45And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.
46And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,
47Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

Shalom, Shalom, Chag Semeach Shavuot!

DAY 49 OF THE OMER

“Today is thirty-nine days which are five weeks and four days of the Omer.”

·       Theme of the Week: Yesod - Intimacy
·       Theme of the Day: Netzach - Victory
·       Overall Theme: The Victory of His Intimacy
·       Psalm 98

When you are madly in love and are intimate with the Creator, God not only rules the world but your heart as well and therefore we have victory over sin.

The Traditional Psalm to read is Psalm 98:

Psalm 98

1O sing unto the LORD a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory.
2The LORD hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight of the heathen.
3He hath remembered his mercy and his truth toward the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
4Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.
5Sing unto the LORD with the harp; with the harp, and the voice of a psalm.
6With trumpets and sound of cornet make a joyful noise before the LORD, the King.
7Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.
8Let the floods clap their hands: let the hills be joyful together
9Before the LORD; for he cometh to judge the earth: with righteousness shall he judge the world, and the people with equity.

“Abba ADONAI God, I praise You and thank You for the victory I have in my life because of my Intimate relationship with You. In Messiah Yeshua’s Name I pray, Ameyn.”

DAY 48 OF THE OMER

“Today is forty-eight days which are six weeks and five days of the Omer.”

·       Theme of the Week: Malchut - Majesty
·       Theme of the Day: Yesod - Intimacy
·       Overall Theme: The Intimacy of His Majesty
·       Psalm 148

It’s no coincidence that the overall theme is the Intimacy of His Majesty because it was today when ADONAI told Moses to tell the Israel that they had three days to prepare to be intimate with Him. What happens before a date, wedding or anniversary? Hours of primping and preparation: bath, make-up, hair, clothes, etc., all in preparation for one type of intimacy or another. And ironically to become intimate with God they had to abstain from intimacy from their spouses.

Exodus 19:14-15 And Moses went down from the mount unto the people, and sanctified the people; and they washed their clothes. And he said unto the people, Be ready against the third day: come not at your wives.

The Theme here is sanctification.

I John 1:7-9 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Psalm 148

1Praise ye the LORD. Praise ye the LORD from the heavens: praise him in the heights.
2Praise ye him, all his angels: praise ye him, all his hosts.
3Praise ye him, sun and moon: praise him, all ye stars of light.
4Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that be above the heavens.
5Let them praise the name of the LORD: for he commanded, and they were created.
6He hath also stablished them for ever and ever: he hath made a decree which shall not pass.
7Praise the LORD from the earth, ye dragons, and all deeps:
8Fire, and hail; snow, and vapours; stormy wind fulfilling his word:
9Mountains, and all hills; fruitful trees, and all cedars:
10Beasts, and all cattle; creeping things, and flying fowl:
11Kings of the earth, and all people; princes, and all judges of the earth:
12Both young men, and maidens; old men, and children:
13Let them praise the name of the LORD: for his name alone is excellent; his glory is above the earth and heaven.
14He also exalteth the horn of his people, the praise of all his saints; even of the children of Israel, a people near unto him. Praise ye the LORD.

“Abba ADONAI God, clean, cleanse and purify me! Prepare me to come into Your Presence to intimately meet with You so You may tell me what You would have me to know and do. In Yeshua’s Name I pray, Ameyn.”

DAY 47 OF THE OMER

“Today is forty-seven days which are six weeks and five days of the Omer.”

·       Theme of the Week: Malchut - Majesty
·       Theme of the Day: Hod - Glory
·       Overall Theme: The Glory of His Majesty
·       Psalm 130

Majesty is looking upon Holy Royalty and knowing the Power that is there; Glory is seeing that Power made manifest. It’s seeing the cavalry coming in the heat of battle when you are tempted to think all is lost. Glory is also that “ah-ha” moment, that illumination of revelation when you get to see and know His Majesty more clearly. When we in turn reflect this Victory and revelation we become that radiant glory for Him.
This Psalm is about waiting for the cavalry and seeing the Glory of that long awaited coming.

Psalm 130

1Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O LORD.
2Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.
3If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?
4But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.
5I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.
6My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning.
7Let Israel hope in the LORD: for with the LORD there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption.
8And he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.

“Abba ADONAI God, through Your Loving-kindness, Strength, Beauty and Victory make me into the instrument of Your Glorious Majesty, in the likeness of Messiah Yeshua and it is in His Name I pray, Ameyn.”

DAY 46 OF THE OMER

“Today is forty-six days which are six weeks and four days of the Omer.”

·       Theme of the Week: Malchut - Majesty
·       Theme of the Day: Netzach - Victory
·       Overall Theme: The Victory of His Majesty
·       Psalm 126

His Majesty represents many things, one of which is Victory. I often think of a Royal Military Parade after a Victory with soldiers with flags in full regalia. Similarly the same sight is seen in praise and worship. Men with tallits waving praise banners and women dancing like Miriam and the women did after crossing the split sea.
Psalm 126 gives us some of the best reasons for this and fleshes out this Victory of His Majesty.

Psalm 126

1When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.
2Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The LORD hath done great things for them.
3The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.
4Turn again our captivity, O LORD, as the streams in the south.
5They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.
6He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

“Abba ADONAI God, Thank You for the Victory of Your Majesty that is mine in Messiah Yeshua. In His Name I pray, Ameyn.”

DAY 45 OF THE OMER

“Today is forty-five days, which are six weeks and two days of the Omer.”

·       Theme of the Week: Malchut - Majesty
·       Theme of the Day: Tefreit - Beauty
·       Overall Theme: The Beauty of His Majesty
·       Psalm 112

Psalm 112

1Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.
2His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.
3Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever.
4Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.
5A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion.
6Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.
7He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD.
8His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he see his desire upon his enemies.
9He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor; his righteousness endureth for ever; his horn shall be exalted with honour.
10The wicked shall see it, and be grieved; he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away: the desire of the wicked shall perish.

Balance and moderation seem to be the key to the majority of things in life and the combination of attributes we have gone through are a perfect example of that. If it were not for this delicate balance you’d almost get a Jeckel and Hyde effect.

First, you had Loving-kindness, then Severity and Strength and now Beauty. All of which are extremes from one another. Along with balance and moderation, timing too is essential; knowing when to employ any given combination of attributes. I suppose this symmetry is the Beauty of His Majesty, like a silent regulator it along with Holiness keeps everything in balance and in check.

We were created symmetrical beings and therefore love and are drawn to things with symmetry and we find beauty in such things. Psalm 112 as we read is all about such Majestically Beautiful Symmetry.

“Abba ADONAI God, though we finite beings are attracted to symmetry, it seems our souls are anything but, ever in flux. We slip and slide from one extreme to another. I guess this testifies to the fact that we like absolutes too. I pray Abba Father that You would conform me into the Perfect and Majestically Beautiful Balance of Your Son Yeshua Messiah, the Living Torah. In His Name I pray, Ameyn.”

DAY 44 OF THE OMER

“Today is forty-four days, which are six weeks and two days of the Omer.”

·       Theme of the Week: Malchut - Majesty
·       Theme of the Day: Gevurah - Severity and Strength
·       Overall Theme: The Severity and Strength of His Majesty
·       Psalm 111

History is full of negative examples of Earthly Kingdom’s flexing the severity and strength of their majesty by oppression of other peoples. This Psalm today flips the human example and shows us how in a positive way God uses the Severity and Strength of His Majesty to free oppressed people.

Psalm 111

1Praise ye the LORD. I will praise the LORD with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright, and in the congregation.
2The works of the LORD are great, sought out of all them that have pleasure therein.
3His work is honourable and glorious: and his righteousness endureth for ever.
4He hath made his wonderful works to be remembered: the LORD is gracious and full of compassion.
5He hath given meat unto them that fear him: he will ever be mindful of his covenant.
6He hath shewed his people the power of his works, that he may give them the heritage of the heathen.
7The works of his hands are verity and judgment; all his commandments are sure.
8They stand fast for ever and ever, and are done in truth and uprightness.
9He sent redemption unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and reverend is his name.
10The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.

“Abba ADONAI God, Thank You that the Severity and Strength of Your Majesty has freed me from oppression. Show me how to use that authority that has been given me to led others to the freedom I live in. In Yeshua’s Name, Ameyn.”

DAY 43 OF THE OMER

“Today is forty-three days which are six weeks and one day of the Omer.”

·       Theme of the Week: Malchut - Majesty
·       Theme of the Day: Chesed – Loving-kindness
·       Overall Theme: The Loving-kindness of His Majesty
·       Psalm 106

Oft times royalty has a professional distance which can be construed as, or turned into aloofness and we sometimes can’t fathom that majesty can have and should have an element of Loving-kindness to it. But King ADONAI, our King is a Majestic King who is Lovingly Kind.

Psalm 106:1-5 Praise ye the LORD. O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. Who can utter the mighty acts of the LORD? who can shew forth all his praise? Blessed are they that keep judgment, and he that doeth righteousness at all times. Remember me, O LORD, with the favour that thou bearest unto thy people: O visit me with thy salvation; That I may see the good of thy chosen, that I may rejoice in the gladness of thy nation, that I may glory with thine inheritance.

The Psalm of the day, these verses speak of a Loving King who cares for and is intimately involved with His people. He is the model for any world or religious leader.

“Abba ADONAI God, I praise and thank You because You are a Holy, Benevolent, Loving King who cares and sacrifices for His people. I am so undeserving of this. Thank You! In the Name of Messiah Yeshua, Ameyn.”

DAY 42 OF THE OMER

“Today is forty-two days which are six weeks of the Omer.”

·       Theme of the Week: Yesod - Intimacy
·       Theme of the Day: Malchut - Majesty
·       Overall Theme: The Majesty of His Intimacy
·       Psalm 105:1-11

Psalm 105:4 Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore.

The KJV Key Word Study Bible has this header over the Psalm, “God takes care of His people.” The Stone’s Tanak comments, “God guides the course of history; seemingly unrelated events were tied together to bring about a society of all mankind governed by God’s holy Torah.”

ADONAI is a King and knows how to be Majestic without being aloof or untouchable. HE can be intimate with His people while retaining His Majesty. His Kingdom Law (Torah) touches on the most intimate activities in human affairs and raises them to a majestic holy act. King ADONAI knows and cares for every individual, knows them by name, and keeps account of the hairs on their head and how many tears they shed and even if gone unnoticed, this Almighty, Royal King is intimate with His subjects in a Majestic way and models how we as Ambassadors ought to carry ourselves and care for each other as HE does us.

The Traditional Psalm to read is Psalm 105:1-11:

O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people. Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works. Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD. Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore. Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth; O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his chosen. He is the LORD our God: his judgments are in all the earth. He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations. Which covenant he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac; And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant: Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance:

“Abba Father, Indeed because of Your Infinite Wisdom and keen balance, balancing extremes of Majesty and Intimacy You are the King of Kings and Lord of Lords and above all other gods. In Yeshua’s Name, Ameyn.”

DAY 41 OF THE OMER

“Today is forty-one days which are five weeks and six days of the Omer.”

·       Theme of the Week: Yesod - Intimacy
·       Theme of the Day: Yesod - Intimacy
·       Overall Theme: The Intimate Intimacy of His Intimacy
·       Psalm 103

Have you seen the skeletons in your best friend’s closet? Do you know all the dirt on them? Have you seen behind the picket fence and seen their dirty laundry waving in the wind on the line? Don’t be too quick to say, “Yes.” Sure, you may know a lot that most people don’t know about your bosom buddy because we are all vulnerable and private and hang on to at least one dark or shameful thing. Yet the God of this Universe knows what you try to keep so quite and in the dark and He still loves you anyway! And since you know He knows and if you have given yourself wholly over to Him, you know what He has doesn’t come with regret.

Psalm 103:12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

That’s not in a complete circle like North to South is. It is an infinite line away from you.
The Traditional Psalm to read is Psalm 103:

Psalm 103

1Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
2Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
 3Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
 4Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
5Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.
6The LORD executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.
7He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.
8The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.
9He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever.
10He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
11For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.
12As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
13Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him.
14For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.
15As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.
16For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.
 17But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children;
18To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them.
19The LORD hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.
20Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.
21Bless ye the LORD, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure.
22Bless the LORD, all his works in all places of his dominion: bless the LORD, O my soul.

“Abba ADONAI God, despite the most darkest and concealed blight on my soul, You know and You still love me anyway! You have taken that which I tried so hard to hide and flicked it away like a piece of lint on my clothes. HalleluYah! Thank You Father! All in the Name of Yeshua You have done this and In His Name I pray, Ameyn.”

DAY 40 OF THE OMER

“Today is forty days which are five weeks and five days of the Omer.”

·       Theme of the Week: Yesod - Intimacy
·       Theme of the Day: Hod - Glory
·       Overall Theme: The Glory of His Intimacy
·       Psalm 99

Today is a busy day in the count of the Omer. During the Journey in the Wilderness, Yitro (Jethro), Moses’ Father-in-Law visits and gives Moses life changing advice that has left its mark on Judaism ever since and this was the establishment of Judges:

Exodus 18:17-24 And Moses' father in law said unto him, The thing that thou doest is not good. Thou wilt surely wear away, both thou, and this people that is with thee: for this thing is too heavy for thee; thou art not able to perform it thyself alone. Hearken now unto my voice, I will give thee counsel, and God shall be with thee: Be thou for the people to God-ward, that thou mayest bring the causes unto God: And thou shalt teach them ordinances and laws, and shalt shew them the way wherein they must walk, and the work that they must do. Moreover thou shalt provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them, to be rulers of thousands, and rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens: And let them judge the people at all seasons: and it shall be, that every great matter they shall bring unto thee, but every small matter they shall judge: so shall it be easier for thyself, and they shall bear the burden with thee. If thou shalt do this thing, and God command thee so, then thou shalt be able to endure, and all this people shall also go to their place in peace. So Moses hearkened to the voice of his father in law, and did all that he had said.

It is also said to be the day of Moses’ 40 day fast and lastly this day also commemorates Yeshua’s ascension into Heaven after His resurrection.

Matthew 28:16-20 Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them. And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted. And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Acts 1:1-11 The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach, Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen: To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God: And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

All of which gives one a taste of the Glory of His Intimacy. When ADONAI speaks through others and you listen, know it’s from God and do it. When you fast in order to deny your flesh, clear your head to see, feel and know Him more. When you stick around to see some godly person depart and drink in their last words, all of which you experience His Intimacy in a Glorious, unforgettable way. That is forever life changing and we see that in all 3 Scriptural examples. Even the Traditional Psalm we read today lets us taste this theme:

Psalm 99

1The LORD reigneth; let the people tremble: he sitteth between the cherubims; let the earth be moved.
2The LORD is great in Zion; and he is high above all the people.
3Let them praise thy great and terrible name; for it is holy.
4The king's strength also loveth judgment; thou dost establish equity, thou executest judgment and righteousness in Jacob.
5Exalt ye the LORD our God, and worship at his footstool; for he is holy.
6Moses and Aaron among his priests, and Samuel among them that call upon his name; they called upon the LORD, and he answered them.
7He spake unto them in the cloudy pillar: they kept his testimonies, and the ordinance that he gave them.
8Thou answeredst them, O LORD our God: thou wast a God that forgavest them, though thou tookest vengeance of their inventions.
9Exalt the LORD our God, and worship at his holy hill; for the LORD our God is holy.

“Abba ADONAI God, please move me and put me in such a place to where I am able to experience Your life changing Intimacy in a Glorious way, so I may better serve You and others. In Yeshua’s Name I pray, Ameyn.”

DAY 39 OF THE OMER

DAY 38 OF THE OMER

“Today is thirty-eight days, which are five weeks and three days of the Omer.”

·       Theme of the Week: Yesod - Intimacy
·       Theme of the Day: Tefreit - Beauty
·       Overall Theme: The Beauty of His Intimacy
·       Psalm 96

The Traditional Psalm to read is Psalm 96, but I would like to focus on verses 6-7:

Psalm 96

1O sing unto the LORD a new song: sing unto the LORD, all the earth.
2Sing unto the LORD, bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day.
3Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people.
4For the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods.
5For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the LORD made the heavens.
6Honour and majesty are before him: strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.
7Give unto the LORD, O ye kindreds of the people, give unto the LORD glory and strength.
8Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come into his courts.
9O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth.
10Say among the heathen that the LORD reigneth: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people righteously.
11Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof.
12Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein: then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice
13Before the LORD: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth.

Just as sex between a husband and a wife is a holy intimate and strengthening act, because it is holy it is NOT dirty or smutty, but beautiful; just like praise and worship is beautiful.

We often use the word beautiful as an esthetic term of an object or thing.  But here the word is used as an act, as an event.

Today also commemorates the beautiful victory Israel had against Amelek because of the strength gained from the intimate experience of ADONAI providing water from the rock.

Exodus 12:8-16 And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it. Eat not of it raw, nor sodden at all with water, but roast with fire; his head with his legs, and with the purtenance thereof. And ye shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; and that which remaineth of it until the morning ye shall burn with fire. And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is the LORD's passover. For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD. And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt. And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the LORD throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever. Seven days shall ye eat unleavened bread; even the first day ye shall put away leaven out of your houses: for whosoever eateth leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel. And in the first day there shall be an holy convocation, and in the seventh day there shall be an holy convocation to you; no manner of work shall be done in them, save that which every man must eat, that only may be done of you.

Another beautiful and Intimate act is when we love our fellow man by helping him carry a load.

Gal. 6:2-3 Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.

“Indeed ADONAI, We have a Beautifully Intimate thing going on here, help me to further submit to You and therefore deepen and strengthen that Beautiful and Intimate bond. In Yeshua’s Name, Ameyn.”

DAY 37 OF THE OMER

“Today is the thirty-seven days, which are five weeks and two days of the Omer.”

·       Theme of the Week: Yesod - Intimacy
·       Theme of the Day: Gevurah – Severity and Strength
·       Overall Theme: The Severity and Strength of His Intimacy
·       Psalm 95:1-7

Revelation 4

1After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.
2And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.
3And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.
4And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.
5And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.
6And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.
7And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle.
8And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, LORD God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.
9And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever,
10The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,
11Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

Revelation 7

 9After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;
10And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.
11And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,
12Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.
13And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?
14And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
15Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.
16They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.
17For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

Two things fit this overall theme to a “T” and that is praise and worship. When we totally let go of our paranoid, “who’s watching me,” inhibitions and lose ourselves praising Him, we begin to receive Strength through the high of Intimacy we get when we worship.

We as believers are likened to a bride, right? And when a married couple has passionate sex, it’s called, “making love.” Feelings of Intimacy are there and afterwards you feel closer, the bonds of your relationship is strengthened and you feel an inner, personal strength like you can take on the world. This is similar to what happens when we are intimate with HaShem though our acts of praise and worship, and this is what our traditional text of the Psalms is all about:

Psalm 95

1O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.
2Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.
3For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods.
4In his hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is his also.
5The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land.
6O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker.
7For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. To day if ye will hear his voice,

“Oh Mighty and Majestic God, the Lover of my soul, I pray you would help and enable me to fall more madly, deeply and passionately in love with You. I want to know You and in the Hebrew the word to Know implies intimacy. I want to be like a giddy, love sick school girl who wants to be with you 24-7. I love you Adonai! In Yeshua’s Name I pray, Ameyn.”
